Bruce Crawford are visiting' at her
husband's relatives here.
The young people of Smith's Hill
church gathered at 9 o'clock at the
Benmiller parsonage as a surprise
party to present Mr. Cumming„ who
is leaving, with a remembrance for
his `interest and ability to help in
their work. He and Nees. Cumming
were asked for their attention for a
minute till an address was read by
Miss Vesta Fisher and he was made
the present of a fawn brass trimmed
club bag, by Miss Amelia McElwain.
Mfr. Cunmsing• replied m his usual
fine manner, stating that he enjoyed
his work among young people and
rather regretted having to leave
them. The evening was spent in gen-
ial conversation, after which a lunch
was served.
Mr. Warner Wlalter attempted to
fill his silo of sweet clover on Satur-
day.
Mr, Melvin Tyndall shipped his fat
cattle on Monday. Prices, we note
have taken quite a tumble.
