Thet Wioman's Institute will hold
their regular meeting in the Coin-
mianity Hall on Thursday, Septembee
1st. This is grandmother's day. Mrs.
garden Bissttt, District President, is
expected to be present and give an
address, there is also a good program
being provided by the grandmother„
A11 ladies of the community are in-
vited. A special invitation is ex-
tended to all frandmother. Lunch
will bes erved by the gradnmothers.
On Wednesday evening, August
17th, the members cf the "Win Oth-
ers Class," of the United Church
Sunday School held it social evening
at Ball's Picnic grounds. A jolly
crowd numbering about 80 spent the
evening in games and a sing song
led by Mr. Harold Snell, after which
all sat around the cheery camp fire
and enjoyed a bacon roast. Rev.
Will Fingland was present and
gave a Short talk which was enjoyed
by all, after which all joined in a cir-
cle anct sang "Auld Lang Syne," in
spite of -the approaching storm. Ev-
eryone had an enjoyable evening,
Mr. and Mr.e Percy Manning, Mr.
and Mrs, E. Wood were the guests
at the home of Mr. Geo. Parker of
Sarnia on Sunday last.

Lyon are spending a week with re-
latives in Exeter, Dresden and De-
troit.
