FREDERICK LOVE A funeral service was held at Brophey Funeral Honie, Goderich, yesterday ,afternoon, for Mrs. Fred- erick Love, who died suddenly at her home in Goderich. on Monday in her 58th year. Rev. L. H. Turner of- ficiatted,-and interment was in Mait- land Cemetery, Goderich, Formerly Ida May Barker, she WAS the daughter of John, and Emma Graham Barker, Colborne Township, and with the exception of two years spent in. Detroit, she had lived most. of her life in Goderich, She was a member of Victoria Street United Church. Surviving, besides her husband, are two• sons, and a daughter, John and Charles, and Edna, Goderich; three sisters, Mrs• James Houston, God- erich, Mrs Samuel. Westlake, Bay- field; `Mrs. Amos, Cornelius, White church. MRS. THOMAS CARBERT Solemn highmass of requiem was sung in St. Joseph's' Roman Catholic Church, Clinton, at 9.30 a.m. 'yester- day for Bridget Nolan, wife of the late Thomas Carbert, Hullett, and Clinton, who died in Detroit, 1Vlich., Sunday morning, December 2, in her 80th year She had been ill for some time. •.Interment was in St. Joseph's Par- ish Cemetery, Hullett Township. Born at Walton, she was a dau- ghter of the late ,Mr. and Mrs. Tim.. othy Nolan. About 52 years ago, she was married to Thomas Carbert, who passed away 38 years ago. The;{ made their home in Clinton. Fol- lowing the death of her husband, Mrs. Carbert went to Stratford, A year ago she went to Detroit. Surviving her are five daughters and one son: Mrs. A. B. Quigley and Mrs. Frank Devereaux, Detroit; Mrs. Thomas Culliton, North E'asthope; 'Mother Patricia, who is Mother Superior of Loretto Convent, Regina, Sask.; Mrs. Thomas Maher, Chicago, and gt. Joseph Carbert„ Chicago. One daughter, Miss Margaret Carbert, died in Chicago several years ago. There are 14 grandchildren. The body was brought from De- troit to the tome of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas ,Culliton, North East - hope. BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Corporation of The Town of Clinton: 1. The parks of the Town of. Clinton shall be controlled and managed by a Board to be called "The Board of Park Management" and the provisions of The Public Parks Act are• hereby adopted with relation thereto. 2. The said, Board shall have the general management, regulation and control of all existing parks in the. Town of Chilton and of such other lands, parks, avenues, boulevards • and drives which may hereafter be acquired and established under the provisions of The Public Parks. Act, ' 3 This By-law shall come into effect open receiying the assent " of the electors qualified to vote at Municipal elections, and upon its final passing after receiving such assent. Take notice.that the above is a true copy of a proposed By -Law of the Corporotioi of the Town of Clinton to be submitted to the votes of the electors on the 7th day of January A.D. 1946 between the hours 'of nine o'clock in the forenoon and five o'clock in the afternoon at the several polling places established for the taking of votes for the annual Municipal Elections. • And that if the assent of the electors is obtained to the proposed By, -Law it will be taken into consideration by the Council of the said .Corporation at a meeting therein to be held after the expiration of one month from the date of the first publication of the notice and that said first publication was made on the 6th day of December A.D. 1945. • ' And that the.
