The marriage was solemnized at
the United Church Manse, Varna, on
Wednesday afternoon, September 19,
at two., o'clock, of Thelma Rose,
youngest daughter of Mr. A. Scotch -
mer, Bayfield Line. Goderich Town-
ship, to Gordon D. Scotehmer, youngg
est son of Mr. and Mrs. J. \Scotch -
mer, Bronson Line, •Stanley`Town-
ship, Rev. Reba Horn officiated,
The bride looked charming in a
pale blue fascinator crepestreet-
length frock, blue ostrich plume hat
and matching gloves. Her corsage
was, of pink talisman rosesand
forget -me -Dots and her only orna-
ment was a string -of pearls, gift of
the groom.
The- young' couple were attended
bee the brid'e's sister and brother. -in.
law; Mr. and Mrs. J• Cluff. Mrs.
Cluff, chose . powder blue 'for her
costume with which she wore black
accessories and a corsage of red
roses.

A quiet and: pretty wedding was
solemnized by Rev. D. •J. Lane • of
Clinton Presbyterian Church on
Saturday, September 22, at the home
of Mr. and Mrs: George McLay,
Clinton, when Mrs. Jane Stevenson,
Clinton was united iii marriage to
Charles Twitchell, formerly of
Hamilton.

The bridewore a becoming gown
of pale blue rope, with silver acces-
sories
ccessories and a ,black fur -felt hat with
pouch crown, completed the costume.
The matron if honor, Mrs. McLay,
wore a purple' sequin trimmed
dress with hat :to match. George
McLay • was groomsman.
Abuffet luncheon was served.to a
number of guests. The couple will
reside on Rattenbury Street, Clinton.
