Council Meeting -
Council met on. May 26 for Court
of revision and general business.
only a couple of minor appeals were
made but changes were -made. Mr.
John Wain asked that lot 30 Con. 2
be transferred to No. 8 from No. 5
making him 1 'mile nearer school,
this change was made. The forming
of -a township- •school area was be-
fore the meeting and it was decided
that each • section hold a meeting,
discussathe question among themsel-
ves, then forward the decisions to
the clerk, the council will hold a
special aneeting and decide according
to the decisions given, those in. favor
will be placed in'a school area, those
against will be left as they .are and
will of course lose: the special grant,
Mr. Chas. Bell was appointed con-
stable, to .act if needed at the Bay-
field pavilion.
Council will let the contract for
the bridge at lot 37 Con 14 as soon
as plans and specifications can be
procured.

MARRIAGES
London Road Club
The London, Road. Club held their
grandmother's meeting May 19th,
at the home of Mrs. Cecil Cooper.
The ,president in the chair, the meet-
ing opened by singing the Doxology,
followed by the Club Creed. A word
of welcome to the grandmothers and
visitors, was given by the president.
The business part of the meeting
consisted of -the minutes of the last
meeting, read and adopted. All bills
to be paid by the Treasurer. One
crib quilt had been put together, 'and
one more was asked to be pieced be-
fore the next meeting, and both to be
quilted at the next 'meeting. - Trea-
surer's report was given. 'Roll call
was answered by bringing a grand -
another or a picture of ' one for
antique. The social. committee- put
on a program, consisting of .e. song,
"Silver Threads Amongst the Gold".
Mrs. Groom. was the guest speaker
and chose for hersubject, her mis-
sionary work in the west. A •song
Tramp, .tramp- tramp the Boys are
Marching". Mrs. LeBeau ,gave a
comic -reading. ,
' A test of jumbled letters of'Cana-
dian Cities was won by Mrs. -Ander-
son. The meeting was brought to a
closed by singing "Blessed -be the Tie
That Bind," and a prayer, A social
half hour'wes spent, the hostess
served a very dainty•lunch. The
next • meeting will be held at Mrs.
Wm, Fele-pees' on June .21st. ;
and Mr. Thompson Rrantliton,
