She contributed a couple of very beauti- ful piano selections at the entertain- ment rn Willis church on Monday evening-' Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitmore of Hamilton have been visiting during the gest few days with the parents. of the latter, ,, Mr. and Mrs. R. The Toronto "Star of Saturday,says: "While driving his brand new :Limousine along King Street west this morning, ,Mr. 3, P. Tisdall- got jammed between a west bound King .car and a standing automobile and escaped uninjured. The street ear and limousine were both injured Mr. Tisdall is a former well-known resident of Clinton and was the firs'% citizen of this town to own, and drive a car. Clinton markets for this week are as follows: Oats, $1.15, Wheat, $1.98; Barley $1,50,' Butter .60, Eggs .47, to .48, Buckwheat, $1.45, Live Hogs Mr. Ciarenee , Shepherd, who just' recently returned from oversea: since the war ended, has beenvisit- ing his mother' during the past week. Miss Howson, who is teaching at Kitchener, was the guest over the week end of her uncle and aunt, Rev. D. N. .and Mrs. McCamus at Wesley -1 parsonage. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. These cheques will amount to between $200,000,000 and $250,000,000 a year: As direct spending power, this will do much to help in achieving the Liberals' obloctive of, full employment. Health - A- National Health Plan will ensure that everybody shall be taken care of while they are sick and the best measures medical science can devise shall be employed to prevent disease. That is what has' happened in amany of .the countries of the world today, and that is why normal living for anyone is impossible in those countries! So let's make sure our soldier's dollar, when he gets back, will be Worth "a full dollar. We cannot give back to him his lost years or lost youth. But if we keep .up the fight against inflation, the man who is overseas can look forwardto. pleasant, satisfying living .. to the Canadianway of life!
