MoBrien, of Big Spring, Texas, visited friends and relatives in Clinton and Gode- rich during the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Breakey with. her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Carless Mr. and Mrs. Breakey have been living in Montreal for the past two years. They will spend this week visiting their' -relatives in and around Clinton and then will go to their new home in Zurich. Mr. W. T. Lobb, of Winnebago, Minn. first cousin of J. B. Lobb ; and second cousin of W. H. Lobb, has been visiting these and other friends in this .district the last few days; left for his 'home town on Wednesday. With Mrs.,Albert Glazier at the piano, the meeting opened by sing- ing. "O,nward Christian Soldiers" The Chib Creed was then repeated followed by the Lord's Prayer, and Secretary's and'• Treasurer's reports. During the afternoon a tie, quilt was tied, after which lunch was ser - ed by Group 3, The meeting closed by singing "God Save The Kin'." Sunday April 22nd, it is expected the temperance repre- sentative -will be here to take the service. Very suddenly on Saturday April 14th, Mrs. Fred Stirling passed to her reward. It was a shock to the community,. as few .knew she had not been enjoying the best of healtth. Sympathy is extended to the family,' especially to their son now overseas.
