Mr. John Moulden inet with a
very painful accident on Monday. He
was marking cattle, when the knife
slipped and lacerated the index fin-
ger of his right hand. He was taken
to Goderich Hospital by Dr. Weir
where it was found necessary to
amputate the finger at the second
joint.

LONDESBORO
The Aimwell Mission Circle, net
at the home of Mrs, Robert Fair -
service on Tuesday night April 10th,
with the President Ruth Pipe pre-
siding.. The meeting opened with the
theme,."No Man Ltveth unto Him-
self", the Call to Worship, and sing-
ing Hym}i `Breathe on me Breath
of God" followed by prayer. The
Temperance reading was given by
Alice Fingland and the Scripture
was read by Mary Shobbrook. The
treasurer's report was given and
after the roll call the .minute's of the
last meeting were read. A collection
of baby elothes_was taken up for a
bale to be sent away. It was decided
that at the May meeting` that two
quilts lie-iuilted and'have:a-pot luck
supper, at the home- of Mrs. Menzies.
Ruth . Snell gave an instrumental
while the offering was being 'taken,
after which''Elva. Peck gava the topic.
The meeting closed with singing
hymn "0', Master of the Waking
world" and prayer, Mrs. F'airservice
then served' a - very lovely lunch
which was enjoyed by all,
Miss Helen. Radford spent Sunday
at the honkie of her parents," Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Radford.
Mrs. Nellie Watson went to Gode-
rich on Sunday, to be with her
daughter, Mrs. Bill Riley who is ill.
Mr. and Mrs. .Bert Deer and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Daer
of Auburn, visited with Mr. and
IKrs. Charles Vodden on Sunday.
Miss Fern Watson spent .the week
and at the home of her grandmother,
Mrs. Elizabeth Lyon.
At the worship service ,on Sunday,
the pastor will speak on "The begin-
ning of Protestantism".

offering meeting, was held Thursday
April 12th at which Constance and
Borns Societies were entertained,

in the chair 'and opened the meeting
with hymn 111.

(Rev.) Tavener of IIolmesville, who
gave a very inspiring talk. '
A piano instrumental: was given
by. •Miss'. Phyllis Shepherd of Burns
Society and a duet by liths. McElwain
and Miss Edith Britton of Constance.
Hynin 249 -was sung. Mr. Rev. Taven-
er closed the meeting with prayer,
after which a lovely lunch was serv-
