Another Hydro Rate Reduction
A further Rural rate reduction from 4c to 31/2c per kil4
matt hour on the first block of energy used in any one
month by, klyaro consumers, will go into effect on alt
bills rendered' on or after May 1st,- 1945.
This Rural rate reduction . will mean a saving of ap-
proximately $300,000 a Year to Hydro Rural consumers
The New Uniform Rate Structure
Will Be:
3-qc. per kilowatt hour for
(formerly 4c) first block of energy.
1-6110c• per kilowatt hour for second block of energy,
34c per kilowatt hour for all additional energy.
No service charge on Farm P.ervice • . . a service charge
of 56c gross per month on Hamlet Service.
The more Hydro you use the less itcosts on the average
per kilowatt hour. Increased' use therefore brings
lower costs. -The important revisions in Rural rates,
made effective in .January 1944, have resulted in a,
greater use of energy, enabling the Commission to fur-
ther reduce the .cost of electiricity to Hydro Rural con-
sumers Ili Ontario -

nurses, in field training'. •
aA 'general discussion ensued as to
the possibility of the County's enter-
ing the county health nursing plan
sponsored by the Peovince. Miss
Moore advised the committee that in
her opinion it would be: investable
for the County to .form a tiblie
health unit at this time, as she Was
very ,sua'e no County medical health
officer could. be procured. She ad-
vocated the Countra's carrying on
a school nursing plan, and Etat an
effort be made to enter into some
amicable arrangement , with the
Town of Goderieh winch has. an
established public health service.

final conclusion was that Goderich
should :maintain itspresent system),
and that the County should rebate
to the Town aecording to the
equalized assessment Ar any rate
levied against the Town for school
nurses: This arrangement seemed to
meet with the approval of all con,
eerned.
The chairman, Reeve V. D. Fal-
coner of Clinton, and Warden A.
Alexander are to procure a suitable
office for the use of the supervising
nurse in the town of Clinton.
Miss Moore assured the committee
the school nurses will be available
this summer. --The Goderieh Signal

I cannot think of ,the present
state of hurnanity as that in Which
it is destined to remain; I am ab-

Then, indeed, were all a ,dream and

FAIR WARNING
Although it was getting late, the

"It's. no use, darling.," he said in

face your father to ask him for
your hand."
"You neednat be frightened et
facing- him, dear," replied the girl
coaxingly. "the great danger is when
you tun your back."
