A very pleasant evening was' spent
at the home of Mri and Mrs Malcom
McDermid, Friday evening, prior to
their leaving, when 32 members of
the Dale;family gathered and pie-'
rented then with two lovely - ship-
'vheel, lamps, made by Allison Dale.
The evening was spent in dancing
and a sing song. Lunch was served

Presbyterian W. M. S.
On March 21st, the W.M.S. met
at the home of Mrs. Streets, with a
large attendance. The President op-
ened with a call to Worship followed
by singing," Just as I and". The
•Scripture lesson was read, by Mrs.
Lane and the Glad Tidings Prayer
by Mrs. Wilson.
The Roll Call was answered with
a verse on Penitence. The • Study
Book was taken by Mrs. Fox who
gave a very comprehensive and
interesting talk on the theme, "En-
tering the Gate". The 'hymn "More
love to Thee" was sung 'and the
meeting closed with. the Daily Prayer
and the Lord's Prayer in unison.
A social half hoar was enjoyed
when dainty refreshments . were
served by the Hostess.

The Easter 'Thank -offering of the
W. M.' S., of Ontario Street Church
was held on, April 3rd. The presi-
dent, Mrs. Button presided. Quite
music was played by Mrs. Trelea-
yen while the congregation was as-
sembling. The meeting was opened
with " the hymn, "Jesus the Name
High Over All", followed -by Mrs,
M.- Wiltse leading in prayer, and
the, •Lord't Prayer ' was repeated in
unison. The scripture lesson. was
read by MTs. G' Shipley, from Mat-
thew :28, it was called the Easter
Lesson. Then Mrs. Burton spoke
words' Iof welcome. A chorus.. was
given, by nine girls, called "Sweet.
Be,Phy' Sleep". Mrs. B. Kearns eon-
tributed a solo and the offering was
taken by Mrs. " Wheatley and,Miss
Maude Wiltse, followed by a prayer
by Mrs, Aiken.
-.The guest speaker for the evening
was .Mrs. L Groom; B. A., 'from
Saskatchewan. 3 /ssion work '; in
Saskatchewan was. described ba Mrs.
Groom,' She told the forty-five mile
