Dear Mrs. Scotehmer:
The last shipment of jam for Bri
tain left our Ontario warehouse in
January,- and we are now in re posi.
Mrs. Robt. J Scott was pleasantly tion to. give you a complete fenort
of the 1944 project..
A.t the beginning ef the season
we. set our quota for jam and honey
at 250,000 pounds, and we are very
happy to report that the splendid
sum of 289,462 pounds was donated.
Of this 287,664 pounds were'suitable
for overseas. As you can see from
the above figures, only 0.6% of the
jam received could; not be bent te
Britain, and' all but 16 pounds of thus
was used in charitable institutions
and military hospitals in Ontario
where it was most welcome.
We are glad ;to advise that your
donation of $50.00 purchased 94 tins
of splendid! factory -made raspberry
jam.
From the many leftera which we
receive from Britain, especia11y those
from the nursery schoola where
much of the jam is distribated, We
know that ' our contributions are
deeply appreciated.
