St. United Church inet in the school
room with the president Mrs. Town-
send in the chair. Tlie meeting open-
ed by singing a hymn and prayer
by the president.
Mrs. Radford read the scripture
lesson and Mrs. E. Kennedy led in
prayer. The ;,president read extracts
of a letter by the Dominion Presi-
dent, Mrs. Bartlett, stressing 'several
phases of work she wou'd like carr-
ied out, especially along religious
lines. '
The monthly and annual reports
were given and approved and showed
a vezy succeas£ul year.
The corresponding se-retary has
written thirty-eight letters of
,condolence and 47 to sick and shut-
ins. Flowers were sent to 38 during
the year and 18 Christmas greet-
ings sent to shat -ins.
Mrs. Ballantyne of Toronto gave
a splendid address en "Kitchens of
to -morrow". "Homes are built now
for' conveniences not style. The new
oneswill have kitchens of beauty as
well as usefulness. The main thing
is to be able to turn out good healthy
eating." Reeeipe books were dis-
tributed, which would enable one to
do this.
The program consisted of solos by
Mrs. Kearns and Miss Coronna Wen -
1 d'ord and a reading by Mrs. Reg.,
Bail The, meeting closed with a
hymn and prayer by :Mrs. Burton
after which tea was served by St. An
drew's Ward and a very pleasant
social time was enjoyed by all.
There were forty-two present.

The Baptist Church, Kincardine,
with Rev. C. K. Dolby* officiating,
was the setting for a wedding as
Flora, dadghter of Mr. and Mas.
Lorne Deeyes, of Kincardine, for-
merly of' Clinton, became the bride
sof Clarence Parkin, Royal Air Force,
Port Albert, son of Mr. and: Mrs.
G. Parkin, Athorpe, Scunthorpe,
Lincolnshire, England. Miss Char-
lotte Gall played wedding music and
during the service Mrs. A. M. Kelly
sang. Given in marriage by her
father, the bri le wore a floor -length
gown of white slipper satin . with
full skirt falling into a train and
long fitted sleeves. The veil fell,
from a halo cap of pink and gold.
She carried red roses. As bridesmaid
her sister, Miss Greta Deeves, wore
heavenly blue satin taffeta ani:
carried pink carnations. Geoffrey
'Payers, Bort Albert, was grcom'man
and Harry Rally and Beit Dicing,
of Port Albert, ushers. A reception

Wolf Cub News
On Thursday, Dec. 27th, The First
Clinton Wolf Cub Pack met in the
Cub den. Games were enjoyed dur-
ing the first part of the evening.
Akela then outlined the work to be
carried on by the pack for 1945. Re-
sults of the competition which has
been carried on for the last three
months were announced. The Green
Six trader Sixer Bill Shearing emery
gel victorious with a total of 212
points:
First Alder's Badges were award-
ed to the following: Bill Shearing,
Bill Ducasse, Clare Maltby, Cameron
Maltby, Bob Elliott. '
The meeting was then closed with
the Grand Howl.
The Wolf Cubs enjoyed a game of
Hockey at the local Arena on Satur-
day afternoon.

The Evening Auxiliary of Wesley-
Willis Church held their December
meeting at the home of Miss Rudd.
