A very pretty wedding was solem-
nized at Robinson Memorial United
Church, London, Ont., on Saturday,
Septefmber 9th at 3.80 when Lois
Marie, eldest daughter of Mr, and
Mrs. Fred Rath -Well, Brueefield,
Ont., was united in marriage to Flt,
SO- Donald N. Pentney, of Rainy
River, Ontario. Rev. G F. N. Atkin-
son of Brueefield, officiated, assisted
by Rev. M. P. Smith, pastor of the
church.
The bride, charmingly gowned in
floor length 'white satin and net,
with finger tip veil of silk illusion
and coronet of white feather flowers,
carrying •:Reid Briareliffe Roses, was
given in marriage by her Father.
Miss Winni#red Thompson of Winni-
peg, as maid of honour, and Miss
Ruth Rathwell, sister of the bride, as
bridesmaid were attractively frock -
ed in floor length white sheer, with
shoulder veils, also carried bouquets
of Red Briarcliffe Roses.
Sgt. Don Laidley attended the
groom and Sgt. Bert King was usher,
both of Trenton.

St. Paul's Annual . Meeting
of Little Hel»e)rs
The annual ,meeting of the Little
Helpers of St. Paul's Anglican
church, was held on Saturday, after-
noon, September 9th, in the ehurch.
A brief worshipservice was con-
ducted by the rector, Rev. R. M.
Bulteel. The Little Helpers present-
ed the contents of their Mite Boxes,,
which together with the offering,
amounted to $15.00.
At the conclusion of the service in
the church an informal meeting was
held in Owen Memorial Hall. Mrs.
(Rev.) • Bulteel told ,a delightful
little story to the children., entitled;
"Gentlness ;Speaks".
The children sang a few of their
favorite hymns and then refresh-

a happy visit.
