' An apron donated by Mrs. Chas, Kennington brought $1.40 and was won by Mrs. Robt. Freeman. Lobb, Clinton's webI- known photographer was kept busy last Spring Show Day, April sixth, taldng pictures of the distinguished guests present; and of the stock on exhibit. Of these pictures he sent the Lieutenant' Governor, Hon. Alb- ert Matthews and Mrs. Matthews, f our prints, and since has received a letter from the official secretary, M. P. Johnson. In it they send thanks for the four prints and how pleased they are to have them. Miss Helen Horton of Doddsland Sask. who has spent the last six months with her Grandmother Mrs Helen Dalrymple left for her home on Tuesday. Misses Florence Aiken and Mildred Beard spent the week end. in Gode- rich with the latter's, sister and brother-in-law, Mr. ,and Mrs. Fred Sandy. Mrs. Kenneth W. Colauhoun spent the week end in Montreal with her husband, Pilot Officer Cblquhoun, who is at present stationed in New Brunswick. Mrs. Erma Hale Adams, who has been imployed with the London Life Insurance Company, has re- turned to her home for a rest after a severe illness of pleurisy and an appendix operation in the Clinton Hospital. Mr. Frank Gibbs, Reeve V. D. Fal- coner and Mrs. Falconer and small daughter, Lois Joyce, Mr. Beecher Streets and Dr. G. S. Elliott were in Toronto for the week end and attended the Gibbs—Webb wedding on Saturday. evening. V Local Winners in Music Festival Bev. Boyes, four-year old son. of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Boyes of Clinton, was the winner in the finals, 8 years and under, boys' Vocal solo, on Wed- nesday, May 3rd, at the Goderieh Music Festival. Bev. reveived 84 manes and was awarded a medal and certificate, Others in the finals in this class were marked as follows; Richard Snell, S. S. 5 Huliett, .83; Leonard Garratt, S. S. 5, Hulled, 81; Claris Perdne, S: S. 3, Clinton, 80. Girls Vocal Solo— Jean Gibbings, S. S. 5 Hullett, 162; Barbara Middle- ton, Clinton, 161; these are very good marks.
