RED CROSS NOTES
The Feb: meeting of the Clinton
Red Cross Society will be held Mon.
Feb. 7th at 3 p. m. in the council
chambers. All members are; asked to
be present.
TO -NIGHT -Lever Brothers • pre-
sent their "Lifebuoy Follies" in the
Town Hall at 8.15. You'll enjoy this
fine entertainment.
Feb. 15 can be the date you donate
your blood to help save some boy's
life who is wounded on active service.
Clinton's sixth Mobile Blood 'Donor
Clinic will be held on that date, "What
you don't miss, they die without."
There is an urgent need for scraps
of material to be made into quilt
tops. Every piece brought in will be
appreciated. You may leave these in
the work -rooms or bring them to the
meeting on Monday.

St. Paul's A. Y. P, A. held a skat-
ing party Monday evening at the
rink, following which they gathered
at the .home of Gerald Elliott to pa -

The Public Utilities Commission
have again turned on the lights on
the post office clock. Permission was
granted the P. U. C. from the Power
Controller to illuminate the clock.
Several business places have ex-
pressed the wish to again be allowed
to use their window lights, but we
understand permission has not been
granted for this in any of the towns.
Groundhog jaw His Shadow.
The sun shone officially at 8.36 o'-
clock E, D. T. Wednesday morning
and that sleepy little rodent, the
groundhog, rose up during the day
and saw his shadow, so the winter is
not declared "finis".

Presenting a revamped line-up in
Seaforth Tuesday night Clinton gave
Seaforth Beavers a battle before suc-
cumbing 9-6, in an intermediate
O.H.A fixture, the -victory placing the
Beavers tied with the undefeated
Exeter team for first place, although
having played one more game.
Seaforth outscored Clinton 4-2 in
the first period, with Eady nicking
a pair for the Beavers. In the sec-
ond period they broke even 3-3, while
in the last. frame the edge was_ 2-1
for the Beavers.
Jim Eady was top scorer for the
winners with three goals and one
assist, while Dagley of the losers
carried off the night's honors with
four goals and one assist.

Red Cross Show Tonight
The "Lifebuoy, Follies", the show
we have all been waiting for ,will be
in Clinton Town Hall tonight, com-
mencing at 8.15 o'clock. This is Its

The Clinton Branch of The Red
Cross is pleased with the response of
Voluntary Blood Donors at previous
Clinics, but there are still many in
Clinton and vicinity who have not as
yet volunteered their services in this
connection, and half as many more

nurses are volunteering their services
and Clinton and surrounding country
residents are asked to use them to
the fullest extent. Blood plasma will

church since its erection 15 years ago.
