During the devotional period, Mrs. Charles Nelson road the story of the life of Mary, the motherd of Jesus, Mrs. A. T. Cooper offered prayer and Mrs, R. S. Atkey gave Lesson Thoughts, A lovely solo "0 Holy Night" was sung by Mrs. M. Nedigor; as an encore "A Bethlehem Lullaby" was given. Reports from the conveners of com- mittees were followed by The election of officers . for 1048. Rev. Andrew Lane took the hair and called for the report of the striking committee which was given by Mrs. 13. 13. Peeklington. This report was accepted as road. A very Lino reading entitled "Tho Man Who Gave Rs el restmos" was given by Mrs. .Gordon Miller. Tho Miz- pah Benediction brought the meeting to a erose, after which a delicious tea, whieh included ice cream, Christmas cake and home-made candy was served from a table prettily deeorited with a gay little Christmas 'Mee, sprays of pine and streamers of red. Mrs. WooIfrey read the Call to Worship followed by the Christmas Bible story. Prayer followed. Mfrs. Woolfrey then conducted a very intpressive candle -lighting ceremony. A. beautiful worship centre had been ar- ranged incl candles of Good -Will and Friendship were lighted, each represent- ing a race of new Caushons who have come to live with us. Those lighting the candles were Mrs. Maltby, Mrs. Holmes, Mrs. VanEgmond, Mrs. Fear, bliss E. Wiltse, Mrs. Townsend raid Mfrs. .Aiken. During this service a lovely Afrikan enrol "0 Little Oae Lovely" was sung by Miss E. Wiltse. Joan Pines sang sweetly the Polish carol "Infant Holy, Infant Lowly". Mrs. Aiken sang very nicely the carol "Gaulle Mary Laid Her Child'''. .4. very interesting chapter of the Study Boort was given by Mrs. A. J. McMurray. After routine business and reports wore given, Mfrs. Wilts° took charge of the meeting and accepted the note list of officers for 1948 which wt's presented by Mrs, Holmes.
