Bridges Total $100,000
Planned for Next Year
Bridges to the value of $100,000
will be erected in Huron County in
1948, according to a decision made
by the County Council on recom-
mendation of the Good .on
Com-
mittee. •
The Committee reCommended that
$20,000 from the $105,000 highway
reserve fund be expended next year
on bridges, this figure being subject
to an 80 per cent grant.
The Committe has within its 'dis-
cretion the purchase of snowblowers
at a price of about $30,000, as
agreed to by the County Council.
As much as possible will be done
to keep school bus routes open dur-
ing the winter. The townline of Hul-
lett and Morris, from King's High-
way 4 to Walton, will be taken over
as a county road, and the present
county road from Ring's Highway 4
to Walton will revert to the munici-
pality in which it is located.
County 'Council has passed a by-
law that a supplementary appropria-
tion 'by-law for $35,000 added ex-
penditure be submitted to the Ont-
ario Department of Highways for
approval. This action was taken be-
cause the estimated expenditure was
higher than provided for in the by-
law on account ofthe unusually
heavy snow -removal costs.

raim Bali wish to take this op-
portunity of sincerely thanking

during Mr. Bane's illness and also
