Albout 70 teach- ers were present, as well as high e hool inspectors D. L. Gray and E R McLellan, representing Ontario Department of Eldueation. At the morning session, after be- ing welcomed by .A. R. Scott, prin- cipal of Goderioh •collegiate, the teachers melt in discussion groups, in each of which the 'problems of one particular department of the cerricu. lum were discussed. In the afternoon the whole group anet in the assembly hall,, where with Mr. Scott, as ehairnn'an, general problems of education were •intro- duced. Discussion centred around the question on how the school can beat meet the needs of young people in the changing world of today. Atter an interesting film on. the use that may be made of films in the class- room, the convention dealt with the problem • of relating the teacher of each subject to national and world conditions. The discussion closed with a motion that this convention be made an annual event in Huron County.
