Fishermen 2-1 in a fifth and sudden -
death game at Walkerton, and clinch-
ed the Men's Senior "A" WOAA soft-
ball championship.
With the score tied at 2-2 in the
ninth a deluge of rain broke up one
of the tightest pitchers' battles of the
season, and dispersed the large crowd.
The game reverted to the eighth
inning, giving Wingham the MMin and
the 1947 championship.
