mate, Miss Ruth Anderson, Toronto,

George Castle, Jr., who has been
confined to bed in a cast since early
ast spring was taken to Toronto Gen-
eral Hospital by ambulance on Friday

crawl out from under the debris of

we were being hit by the great cat-
astrophe of October 12th. We are
veterans of hurricanes and thought
hat we had seen the utmost in what

beautiful town, but the scene today

A large crowd -attended .the ,picture
show in the .Foresters' Hall Ort Fri-
day evening, put on by the National
Film Board and sponsored by the Wo,
men's Institute.
Many Attend Sale
.A. large crowd attended the Gala of
household furnishings of Miss Susy
Blair. Good prices were realized. The
house and lot were purchased by "TSr.
J. C. Stoltz fr $2,160. Harold Jack-
son was the auctioneer and Ed.
Chesney clerk.
Ships Nuts 1
Nelson ,MeLarty, inspector of tree
cutting for this section of Huron
County, has shipped 60 bushels of
walnuts. and 76 bushels of butternuts
to the seed extracting :plant, Depart-
ment of Reforestation, Angus. This
is quite an increase from last: year
when he shipped 50 bushels.
Presbyterian Anniversary
Anniversary services were held at
Knox Presbyterian Church on -Sun-
day, when the guest speaker was
Rev. Thomas Hutton, Molesworth. In
the morning his text was "But Why
Not?" and in the evening "I Will A-
rise," The choir led in the service of
praise with Denali 'Ross presiding at
the organ Setae were slung at both
services by Mac, Duncan MacKay,
and duets by Mr anti Mrs MacKay.
At the evening service Rev. A. G
Hewitt of Knox United Church was
present and 'offered prayer and pro-
nounced the benediction. cell generous
free-will offering was received.

A large crowd attended the coneert
in Foresters' Hall on Thursday night,
sponsored ,ny the Memorial Hall com-

The anniversary services on Sun-
day were well attended. Rev. Dr.

fine sermons 'and the choir, with the
help of the Blyth quartette, rendered
fine selections. The church was de-

Nelson ,MeLarty, inspector of tree
cutting for this section of Huron
County, has shipped 60 bushels of
walnuts. and 76 bushels of butternuts
to the seed extracting :plant, Depart-
ment of Reforestation, Angus. This
is quite an increase from last: year
when he shipped 50 bushels.
Presbyterian Anniversary
Anniversary services were held at
Knox Presbyterian Church on -Sun-
day, when the guest speaker was
Rev. Thomas Hutton, Molesworth. In
the morning his text was "But Why
Not?" and in the evening "I Will A-
rise," The choir led in the service of
praise with Denali 'Ross presiding at
the organ Setae were slung at both
