Arthur Cotton and his housekeeper,

Mr. Cotton, who has only spent a
year in the village, sold his home
on Main et, to Lloyd Betkin, Clintah.
Mr. .and. Mrs. Jim Day and two
children, Pleasant Ridge, Mieh., spent
the week at "High Top" cottage. On
etheir return they were accompanied
by the formner`s parents, Mr. and Mrs.
L. M. Day, who have spent the sum-
mer season at their cottage.
Mrs. Honey McOlinohey returned to
her home in the village last week
with Mr. and ,Mrs. William Speed and
daughters, Beekie and ,Merle, Detroit,
who spent last week -end with her.
Mrs, lDaal Holm and babe, Preston,
are visiting Mrs. •M.halinchey this
week. •
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Westlake and
daughter, Gloria, and Miss Milvene
Sturgeon returned home on Friday
after having enjoyed a motor trip
to the Kirkland Lake district, and
also to Virginiatown, where ,they vis
,ted their son and his wife, provincial
constable •and Mrs. Lloyd Westlake.
Move from Grosse Point
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore H. Mack,
who have purchased the Charlee
Seotehmer H'ardwar'e moved their
effects from Grosse Paiute, Mich., to
the living quarters over the store
on ,Monday. Mr. Mack bets posses -
ion of the business the first of Mo-
ven-thee. We wecome Mr. and Mrs.
Mask to the village and also their
two 'daughters Mary and Phyllis who
will arrive later.

was held on Tuesday, October 7. at
the ;home of Mrs. E. Stanley. The
meeting opened with Mrs. William
Scott ,and 'Mrs. H. Adkenhead taking
the devotional, and opened with the
WA creed. Mrs. W. eleBeatih, presi-
dent, was in the chair for the busi-
ness part. whieh opened with the
minutes of the last meeting and roll
call. Mss. R. 'Allan gave a very in-
teresting talk on "Time"..Mrs. 14:e -
Beath conducted a couple of contests,
after which the meeting elosed with
the WA hymn and prayer. A delight-
ful lunch was served.
