Jean Morgan, bride -elect daughter of
Mr. and Mr. Morgan.

Evening Auxiliary Holds
Opening Fall Meeting
The opeeing meeting of ,the fall
term of the Evening Aluxiliary of
Wesley -Willis United church was
held. on Tuesday evening tSeptember
16 at the 'home of Mrs. Reg. Shipley.
The president, Mrs. Geooge Beattie,
conducted the opening exeercises with
Mrs. John Nediger presiding at else
piano. The roll teall for the evening
was answered by an .Autumn verse.
Mrs. James McLaren was in charge
of the study period, introducing the

Club Resumes Meetings
After a two -months' holiday (July
and August meetings), many mem-
bers of the Mothers' tClub of Wesley -
Willis United chmsih made their way
to the home of Mrs. G. W. McGee,
Rattenbury St. W., where all enjoyed
the kind ,hospitality of the hostess,
Tuesday evening, September 23.
Mrs. William Murch, taking charge
of the evening's programa for Mrs. A.
G'riffiblie, arranged a very interest-
ing and educational program with
usual devotional period 'interspersed
with appropriate selections and free
and lively discussions.
Miss Geraldine White, bride -elect,
was 'honored by a surprise shower
given by the neighbours at the home
of Mrs. George Oarbert • Thursday
night.
After opening the gifts, which,
were cleverly hidden about She room,
a few contests were enjoyed. The
bride-to-be thanked her friends, with
special thanks to Mks. G. Carbert,
Mrs. Agnes Dale and Mrs. A. Douglas
The evening was coneluded with a
dainty lunch.

A pretty wedding took place at the
home tof the bride's parents on Wed-
nesday afternoon, September 17, when
Isabel Joan Davidson only daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Davidson,
Walton, became the bride of Oliver
Richard Hopson, son of Mr. and Mrs.
George Hopson, Bayfield. Rev. R. G.
Hazlet/toed performed the double-
ring ceremony at the home of the
bride. Miss Elva ,Sholdiee played the
wedding march and 'Because" during
signing of the register.

the bride wore a gown of white eye-
let embroidery with lace insertion
and pale pink velvet ribbbon. Her
shoulder veil was caught in a mateh-
Juliet cap, and she 'carried a shower
bouquet of , ,Sweetheart roses and
forget-me-nots. She evore a string
of pearls, a gift of the bridegrom.

carried yellow roses.

The mother of the bride received
in a midnight blue crepe dress and

this district, Donald Jervis,
enclosed a note in a suit of clothes he
was sending. He has just received the
following letter from the person who
received this suit:
