Craw- ford, 'son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. T. Orawford, Port. Albert, Rev. C. Hay - weed performed the ceremony. The ,bride wore a floor length gown of white nylon embroidered with Iily of the, valley and lover's knot over taffeta with a long train, mound neck with long sleeves taper- ing to a lily point over the hand. She wore a halo with three-quarter em broidered net veil. The bride also wore a double strand of pearls, the gift of the groom. She carried a ' bouquet of Hollywood roses and white carnations, The bridephaid, Miss Noreen Fisher Goderieh, chose a floor length gown of pink net over taffeta. She carried deep pink Stweetheaet carnations. Miss Provence Jawell, Goderieh, was matr- on of honor and wore a floor length gown of blue net over Nylon. , Her flowers were pale •pink carnations. Miss Sandra Westcott, Hamilton, was flower girl in ;a floor length gown of peach Nylon with a bandeau of 'white flowers, She tarried 'a nose- gay. The pianist was Miss Sally Mac- Donald, Kintai'l. Miss Vivian Strau- gltan, Auburn, was soloist. The groomsman was Fred C'raw- f'ord, Port Albert, brother of the groom. The ushers were Earl Fuller and Bruce .Sowerby, both of Goder- ich. After the Ceremony the luncheon was thel'd in the church parlours. The bride's mother received the guests, wearing a black and. white 'silk jersey dress, with black accessories and a corsage of carnations. The gr'oom's another wore a .black crepe dress trimmed with satin, and white ,acc— essories and a corsage of white car. nations and blue lilies. The couple left :on a wedding trip to the United States. For her honey- moon, the bride chose a light grey tailored suit with black accessories. The devotional ,period wa taken by Mrs. M. Wiltse. Hymn 681 was sung. Psalm 96 was read. Mrs. Wiltse read a poen on the same psalm. Mrs. Kennedy e'loeed the period with pray- er. The business period was opened by reports being read from the various committees. Oalls numbering 56 were reported dieing the past two months. Several ietters and cards were read thanking the W. A. for flowers, fruit and letters of sym- pathy sent to them. Mr. Oliver Jervis approached the ladies about having an .anniversary supper. Farther announcement will be made. It was decided to hold the W. A. Meetings on Tuesday's for the remainder of the year.' Lunch will be served in Ootober by the ladies of the Gravel road And the second of 1Tullett. Mrs. J. W. Treleaven favoured the ladies with a piano solo and Mrs. G. Ti. Fear with a humourous• reading which were much enjoyed. The meet- ing closed by singing hymn 500 fo11e owed by prayer by Mrs. Woolfrey. A social half ,hour was spent at the close of the meeting with the ladies of the base line serving a delicious lunch. Mrs, M. D. Taggart has received word that her daughter, Mrs.Edward Halsey, arrived Saturday in Shang- hai, China, where she has gone to cin her husband who is in command there. Mrs. Halsey left London, On- tario, by plane on Wednesday of last week. Mr. and Mrs, A. +S. Iatkley have moved their household effects from Toronto and once more will make their home in Clinton: They are re- siding at the corner of Fulton and Dunlop Sts., which they recently pur- chased from Mrs. Inkley's, son, Lorne J. A. of Clinton Presbyter- ian church met on Wednesday after- noon September 3. in the Sunday School room with 1.1 present, The President was in the chair and Mrs. Snider at the piano. A hymn 'was sung followed by The Lord's Prayer in unison. The Pres- ident read the 9th chapter of St, John's Gospel. The Secretary's and Treasurer's Reports -were read by Mrs Alan Maxwell. Moved by Mrs. Wilson seconded by Mrs. 'Gibson that all accounts be plaid. Alivote was taken in reference to changing the day of meeting and was carried in favor of meeting on the first Tuesday 'in each month. Tea hostesses for October will be Mrs. Nott and Mrs. McTaggart.
