The weather was ideal and the gath- ering was :held on the spacious lawn. Of the 56 ladies. present, 40 'were grandmothers. The guests were welcomed by the president, MTs. 'M. Batkin and by the hostess, Mrs- Fairs'ervice. The meet- ing opened with singing of the In- stitute Ode and the repeating of the Lord's Prayer in unison. The min- utes of the last meeting were read and approved and the treasurer's monthly statement given. During the business period a 'report .was given by the W. T. Park Comnittee stating that the fence :at the Minton ,Cemet- ery was recently painted with alum- inum paint and the stone pillars there had been pointed,. These ,projects were sponsored ilry the local branch. of the W. T. The programme committee then took ,charge of the meeting. Prizes were given as follows: grandmother weighing heaviest, M•rs.
