North All -Stars Outhit South and Win 9-4 The North Group of the Huron- Perith Baseball League said it with more hits and more runs as the South Group team went down to a 9-4 defeat in the etmual Ali -Star match at Hensall Thursday evening last. The bats of the winners proved too mighty as they pounded out eleven safe hits to five.• Seven of these came from the bats of four Clinton Colts; Bob Draper had a double and two singles in four times unanddrovein .two additional runs; "Gus" Bonney, ,the sprightly catch- er, ,smacked out a double and a single in twice to the plate; and Bent White ;and •Alut Woodcock had one hit each. These Colts also tal- lied five of the nine runs. The remaining four !tits were made by Jack Tudor, Bensall-Zurich, Ted Hainstock, Clinton RCAF, Bob Sadler, Staffa, and "Zeke" Philp, Clinton RCAF. Safe hits for the losers were by Hall, Farrow, Renter, Robinson, and Moore. It was a lovely game of ball to watch, and the large crowd of spec- tators was well satisfied with the show. A goodly sum of money was raised for insured players. Big. league style, there were an umpire at the plate and every base. The North used 15 players and the South 19, so a lot of players had a chance to strut their stuff.
