Mr. Miller was 'born in H•ullett• Township, 0crtober 9, 1861, a son of the late John !Miller and Elizabeth Arthur. For a umbel; of years he farmed on the 3rd concession of Hallett and moved to Clinton in 1910. He con- ducted a coal boe40eses until his re- tirement .in 1927. For several years he served the Town of Clinton 'as councillor and was reeve from 1920-1923. In re- ligion he was Methodist, later United Church, being a member of Ontario St. Unitecl'Ghnroh. He alwe4os had been keenly interested in the affairs 'el his church and was always willing to I:end his aid in this capacity when able. He served for quite a number of years as a member of the Official Board and a member of the Session. In spite of his advanced years, My.
