operated Juvenile baseball and girls'

Edwin C. Judd Named Winners From
Softball Convener Music
Edwin C. "Red" Judd, Clinton,
was named convener of the Huron'
County, senior softball group of the
V4'estern On7itel° Athletic Association
at a meeting held in Wingham Town
Hall last eventing, attended' by repre-
sentatives of the ' various softball
clubs in the Association. He was
the nominee of the Clinton Riohwear'
Softball Club.
Entries were received from the
following teams: Wiughann, Goderioh,
Clinton Itliohwears, Seaforth, Exeter
and Centralia RCAF. It was a sur
prise that Clinton RCAF did not en-
ter, las this !elu(h played, bast ,year.
Listowel and 'Milverton were refused
entry to •the group bemuse of dis-
tance. '
It was decided that representa-
tives of the six teams' ill the group
would eget down bo schedule drawing'
at a meeting in 'Clinton tomorrow
(Friday) evening •at. •eight o'clock.

opening at (Mitchell of the Huron.
Perth Baseball League, an OSA
intermediate "C" group, with the
finest match here May 29. The reg-

on Thursday night Moolettes defeat-

the latter team claimed four points

This. year the festival had almost
twice as many eniteies as fast year,
It was 'announced by Mrs. 'M:eD:ougal
at the session. on Friday evening
that plans were already under way
for next year's Festival, It was
thought quite likely that preliminar-
es would have to be contested in the
'different; -sections of .the county with
the finals taking ,place in Godeeich.
Bath the adjudicators thought that
the Festival was of a much higher
calibre than other years and remark-
' l different times on the splendid
work done 'by the' music teachers.
