IN BETWEEN SEASONS
With snow still- on the ground on
the eighth day of Maly, AD 1947,
what can one do about field sports?
The Oonvmunity Park is far from
being ready, even far ball practice,
although some work has been done
on it this year by the Board of
Park Management.

DRAW SCHEDULE TONIGHT
The schedule makers, will be at it.
full swung, in Hensel) tonight in :the
Huron -Perth Baseball League inter-
mediate series. Getting a satisfac-
tory schedule may be quite a prob-
lem, with so many teams expecting
to enter the intermediate series. The
latest we bear is Godei."ieh, which
played) in the WOAA last year. It
looks as if the WOAA as far as
baseball is concerned, will just be a
shadow of its former self, and will
likely ,concentrate en softball.

SOFTBALL PLANS
Loeal softball 'activities have been
rather on the quiet side during the
past few days, pending a change in
the weather. The boys just cannot
practice if their bones creak from
the cold,• and their hands . are just
freezing. Coach "Poodle" Liverrnove
expects' to call t.practice just as soon
as it is physically possible. The
WOAA senior schedule will be 'drawn
up and school for umpires 'held, at
Winghann next We'dnesday, Mato 14..
