church will hold the regular meeting
on Thursday, April 3, at three o'clock,

M. S. of Clinton Presbyterian church
was held at the hoarse of Mrs. John
Snider with the president, Mrs, G. D.
Roberton, in the chair.
Mrs. James Makins gave the trees

study book entitled `Religions of In-

92 million anosloms, 75 million Christ-
ians and a large number of sikhs, s
military group. Freedom and Home
rule have been promised by the Brit-
ish Government. How the two great
religious groups, Hindus rind Moslems
will govern, is yet to be seen.
A worship period was conducted by
the president during which Mrs. Mak-
ins read the 96th psalm, Mrs. M. D.
McTaggart gave a meditation and
Mies D. Shaw offered prayer.
The hostess was assisted in serving
aefreshinents by Mas. William Shad
dock and Mrs. Makins.

The past weekend was a time of
festivity for Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
McLellan, nSeaforbh, who celebrated
their 25th wedding anniversary. The
couple entertained a number of fri-

in Stanley Township, he received his
earlier education in Stanley Township
and later :attended Clinton Collegiate.

• Following a funeral service in
Carmel Presbyterian Church, Hensall,
conducted by Rev. P. A. Ferguson,
interment took place Tuesday after-
noon in Exeter Cemetery of the re-
mains of Mrs. Sidney ,McArthur, Hay
Township, who died Sunday, March
23, in St. Joseph's Hospital, London,
following an illness of three weeks.
The former Jean Maxwell, she was
born hi Saint John, N. B. She was
a member of Carmel Presbyterian
Church, Bengali. Her husband and
one son, Donald, both at home, and
three sisters, Miss A. A. Maxwell,
Toronto; Mrs. Stanley Keeley, St,
John N. B., and ,Mrs. J. Peck, Toron-
