They were not disaPPointed in, the quality of the hockey nor the fighting spirit shown by the gladiators. Everyone had a good thne. Naturally, it is to be regretted that Londesboro was not the lucky team to stay in the championship hunt. But the Hullett boys and their supporters have no reason to feel ashamed of their efforts. They might easily have been crowned with victory over the fast -stepping Goerieltes. It is a gaeat credit to the Londesboro community to have iced. smelt a grand teem. The winners always were in the lead, being ahead 2-1 at the end of the first period and 4-3 at the end of the second. The only aedident was when Dave Nielson, Gerrie star; was hurt in the third stanza when he ran into a Lon- desboro player's stick. He did not return before the end of the match. Both tearns.were well balanced and well matched. If there was any mar- gin, it was in goal, the balance being in favor of the Red Wings. Defensiv- ely, too, the winners possibly had a slight edge. But on the attack and in play.. making, the Londesboro lads were eight in there with the best of them A. wide area was represented in the attendance, including many from Clinton. Travelling to Wingham was just.like going through a sno-wy can- yon, with high white walls on either side.
