Five Teams Play Here
No less than five hoelcey teams
•are expected to call Clinton Lions
Arena their home rink: Clinton Colts,
the two Clinton R. and C. S. teams,
. Clinton Lions Juveniles, and Clinton
,,Lions Midgets.. There even is talk
at a ladies' entry. It will be quite a
eob securing practice and game time
for all, but the management expects
to draw up a schedule.
The two R. and C. S, teams have
practised Wednesday mornings dur-
ing the past three weeks, in Strat-
ford Arena. They have had about
30 Intermediates and 30 Juniors out
for these practises.
At a meeting...Thursday last, Flt.
Sgt. Bob Hudson, a baseball fame,
was appointed manager of both
teams. Flt Lieut. Bill Lafferty will
coach the Intermediate team, and Sgt.
Bill Tiller, also of baseball fame, is
handling the Juniors. -The Juniors
lookPeette "sweet" to some of the
boys at the Station, who know their
hockey, but the Intermediates also
will he strong.

Ralph (Cooney) Weiland, former
Booton Bruins hockey star, formerly
of Seaforth, has been signed be the
National League club as a ecom. The
Bruins' management said ' Weiland
would go 011 the road. immediately in
quest of promising young players.
