Mr, and Mrs. Thomas W. Castle, lef

Merchant ,Service and in which he
served until July of this year. He
was aboard the "Oslofjcrrd" when she
struck a mine and .s•ank off the Eng-
lish coast, TWe hours later he was
rescued. While serving aboard a
tanker returning from Malta it col
lided with another Ship in the English
Channel and had to be towed to port

"Kenny" is delighted to be back

Anderson, daughter of Mrs. B. 'rat-

her grandfather, John Mackaill, who
resided near Edinliurgh Castle, and
it was there that many of her hus-
band's friends from this vicinity
found a warm welcome when on
leave in that city. • .
Mrs. Castle is quite pleasantly
surpriied with Bayfield. Fearing
that she would be disappointed in
the eountry ,after having lived all her
life in beautiful Edinburgh, Kenny
pictured the village as being rather
a wildeisiess, and so she is really
pleased with its beauty,large gardens

.Sundown and Afterglow from the
Signal Bank
I watched with God at. Sundown
across it golden sky .
As twilight came in softly to wish
the day good-bye.
A silver euntain fell across Lake
Atiron's azure blue,
And old Sol m,o,st reluctantly blinked
in fond adieu,
The day was loath in parting and
lingered, brilliance left
'Til little night -capped fairies came
and lured the day to rest.
