The many friends of Miss Audrey
Brandon, who has been undergoing
medical treatment in Seaforth for

Church Camp :Picnic
Members of the Anglican Church
Camp pieknicked on Clan Geegor
Square on Tuesday afternoon. In the
evening a softball game was played
between the village boys and a team
from the camp, resulting in a score
of 19-6 for Bayfield.
Dies in Hayfield
Mrs. fannie Dixon, wife of Joseph
Dixon, Dalhousie Ste Brantford, a
former resident of London, died in
Ba•yfielci, after several years of poor
health. She was visiting at the sum-
mer home of her ,daughter,, -Mae.

She is survived by her husbend and
two daughters, Mrs. Paull, and Miss
Carrie Dixon, Bra/Me:ed.
The body was resting at the G. L.
Fergeson funeral home, London,
where service was held Monday after-
noon with interment in Woodland
Cemetery, London.
Passes in. Bayfied
The death ocerwred on Friday
evening, July 19, at the summer home
of Rev. P. H. Parer in Bayfield of
Fannie Elizabeth Drew, beloved
wife of T. L. Dixon, 363 Dalbousie
St., Brantford, in her 74th year.
The deceased wonme, who was a
native of London, wets- a daughter of
the late Alfred Drew and Susan
Devoy. Following het marriage they
resided for trainees periods In Lon-
don, Brantford- and Glatt,. while Mr.
Dixon was with The Pell Telephone
Co. She had been in 111 health for
about six years. Besides her hes-
band, she is survived' by two dartgli-
tees, Ethel (Mrs. F. H. Paull), List-
owel, and Carrie, at honte; two sis-
ters, Mrs. George E. Wright and Miss
Gerrie Deese., 196 Beidport St., Lon-
don, and a brother, Alfred Drew, of
Kingston.
The funeral was iield from the
Ferguson Funeral Heine, London. on
Monday afternoon at: three o'clock,
the service being in charge of the
Venerable Archdeacon W. J. Doherty,
who was aseisted at the graveside by
Rev. P. W. Schafter, rector of St.
Jude's 'Church, Brantford Interment
was made in Woodland Cemetery.
The pallbearers who were mem-
bers of the Telehone Pioneers As-
sociation were a. L. Stratton, G. H.
Ilpshall, W. It. Byers, A. 0. Ion, C. H.
Westman and A. W. Robinson. The
floral tributes were many and beauti-
ful.

The United 'Chetah, Noicow, •Sask.,
was the -scene of a very pretty Wed-
ding on July 2, when Clara Helen
Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.. T.
C. Parker, became the bride of 'Morris
lemerson Scott, IV/effort, Sask. The
marriage vows were spoken before an
alter banked with peonies and garden
flowers. The pastor, Rev. Lydia
Gruchy, performed the ceremony.
The bride was giveri in marriage
br her father, and had as bridesmaid,
her sister, Nora. Melvin !Stott, broth-
er of the groom, was his attendant.
Mrs. P. O. Parker, Nekoma, N.D., aunt
of the bride, presided at the piano.
The bride's gown was of white
satin and net with fingertip veil. She
wore a string of pearls, the gift of
the groom and carried a shower bou-
quet of roses. The bridesmaid wore a
floor -length gown of Feench blue and
carried pale pink carnatione.
After the ceremony a wedding din-
ner was served at the Noicow Hotel,
to about 40 guests, many of whom
were from oat of town.
The couple will reside on the
groom's farm, five miles south of
Melfort, Sask.
Those who remember the bride as

serious illness of her aunt, Miss Clara
Hunter, who passed away on Thurs-
day. Interment took place in Brus-
sels Cemetery on Saturdae.

the Ivanson cottage at Drysdale on
Sunday.

successful in her School of Commerce
course, has' accepted a position at

We understand the George Proctor
home at Porter's Hill earner has been
bought by Mr. Mather, a returned
veteran, He and his brother will
move in shortly.
Community Club Meets
Porter's Hill Community Chib held
its July meeting at the home of Mrs.
Jim Cox Wednesday afternoon with
twelve ladies present. A quilt was
quilted.
The president opened the meeting
with all repeating the Lord's Prayer.
Mrs. A. Lockhart read the minutes
of last meeting.. :Some discussion took
place as to work and program. The
hostess served a dainty lunch.
