MARYS The lads from R. and C. S. are now ion the top of the heap in the WOAA intermediate baseball standing, foll- owing their 4-2 victory over St. Marys at St. Marys Saturday. Feature of the match was •a fistic battle royal in the last of the eighth when Manager Bob Huson and First Baseman Ed. Muir of R. and C. S., and Martin and Mahoney of St. Marys were banned from the game. It was a close game with only four' safe hits a side, Pitcher Ron Wilson getting two, and Walsh and Evans one each for the winners. In each case, they were short the serv- ices of their regular catcher, Hanly, who was injured in an athletic meet at Guelph Saturday. 1.4 Goderich, the locals were forced to default the game before it started as they had not enough players and found it necessary to use Laurie Col- quhoun of the Colts behind the plate.
