Presbyterian Concert
Has Good Attendance
Despite wet weather there was
a good attendance at the Clinton.
Presbyterian Christmas concert
on Tuesday evening, Decemebr 20.
Rev. D. J. Lane acted as chair-
man, and the programme began
with everyone heartily joining in
several of the great Christmas
carols. The Primary class offer-
ed two selections entitled "Jingle
Bells," accompanied' of course by
real bells, and at the close sang
with great gusto "Here Comes
Old Santa Claus."
Recitations in real childlike
fashion were given by Sybil
Castle, followed by Mary and
Douglas Macaulay, Mary Jean
Colquhoun, Constance MacDonald,
Michael Cowan, Rosemary Mac-
Donald, Carol Sims, John Jacob,
Bud . Boyes, Donnie Colquhoun
and Bobbie McCann. Jack Cowan,
with two selections on the cor-
net, was well received, and a
splendidly -presented dialogue was
given in which JoAnne Castle,
Barbara MacDonald, Jack Cowan,'.
Bev Boyes and Ann Shaddock, as
well as a group of•younger child-
ren took part.
Santa Claus, too, made his
genial appearance and distribut-
ed gifts and sweets to all the
children and was enthusiastically
welcomed by, them, and bidden
Godspeed on his long journey.
The gathering closed with the
doxology and the benediction.
