Correction
In the account of the official
opening of the new Bayfield
Bridge in last week's issue, the
last paragraph under the head-
ing `Fourth or Fifth" should
have read: "A bridge was built
in 1878 when Charles Girvin was
Warden and W. W. Connor Reeve
of Bayfield at a cost of $2,500.
(This would be either the second'
or third). Wooden bridges with
rock -filled cedar abutments, these
early structures did not last long
and this may have been the one
condemned in the 90's when
George Woods was Reeve."

in Alexandra Marine and General
I-lospital, Goderich, where he had

of Bethlehem, Joseph and Mary,
and the angels, the Angelic Choir
was heard singing sweetly in the
distance.
At the close the audience join-
ed in the' singingof carols, led
by a choir of 20 voices, who
marched up the aisle, singing,
with lighted candles and took
their places in the choir loft. This,
with the reading of Matthew's ac-
count of the First Christmas and
a brief message essa a it
om Mr. Ren -
nor on the same subject and
introducing the pageant, made
very beautiful and impressive
service.
Much credit is due to Mrs.
Roy Scotchmer who directed the
splendid pageant; also for the
large choir whom she assembled,
who sang the Christmas carols so
beautifully. The stage lights,
controlled by Charles Scotchmer
added much to the changing
scenes of the pageant.
