ONE of the Pews sports that
men and women enjoy and play
together is badminton ... Added
to the sport, there is a consid-
erable social life, which makes
a badminton club pleasant to
belong to . . . The Clinton
is a flourishing organization
year, with the largest member
since its re -organization
years ago . • ,

THE CLUB is fortunate
having the facilities of the
Hail because it has suffic
space for two full-sized dou
courts, with several feet to spare
at the sides and each end
AIso the height is such that it is
a rare bird that hits the ceiling
So. in spite of the dingy
e
tplantaattractive ch does not dace hall, and
the complaints of several'Strat-
ford girls for lack of dressing ac-
commodation, it has better than
average facilities for a small
town club , That we know
only too well, having played, over
the years, at a number of small
clubs We remember one
club that played in a town hall
with a slanting floor—which was
ideal for seating arrangements
for a theatrical performance, but
was weird for badminton
Also last year the Clinton club
played at Kincardine which has
one court in a recreation centre
em,-.Therewas
a tie game two years ago
All others were won by Seaforth
Sea -
for Club, ton f following the inedmatch,, in
the Board Room of the Agricul-
tural office—also another friend-
ly custom . Helen Taylor and
Charlie Johnson were in charge
of arrangements , .
