Mrs. Irene Bassett and Mrs.
George Davison were here for a
few days last week while closing
the former's home before going\
to London for the winter.
Mrs. Henry McClinchey left on
Sunday to spend the winter in
Preston. Her granddaughter and
great-granddauglrter, who spent
last week here, accompanied her.
Each Monday evening through-
out the winter months, the Town
Hall will be available for this
recreation, 'Teen-agers ,Arial have
the floor from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m.,
after which adult members will
play.
Mrs. R. H. F. Gairdner was
called to Toronto on Wednesday
owing to theillness, of her dau-
ghter, Mrs. James R. Scott, who
is in hospital, Mrs. Scott's many
friends wish her a speedy re-
covery.
Cpl. Ted Davies, who has been
a patient in Westminster Hospi-
tal, London, end Mrs. Davies and
Wendy, who have been visiting
her mother in St. Thomas, re-
turned to their home in the vil-
lage on Monday.
Fees for the season have been
set. at two dollars for individuals;
three dollars per couple, and a
dollar and a half for 'teen-agers.
New racquets have been provid-
ed'for use of members who are
not in possession of their own
equipment.
To Revive Badminton
Next Monday, November 28,
will see the revival of Badmin-
ton in Bayfield.

Walter Westlake and John E.
Howard returned -to their re-
spective homes in the village on
Sunday night after having enjoy-
ed ten days' hunting on Mani-
toulin Island. They made up a

Community Club Meets
Members of London Road Com-
munity Club met et the home of
Mrs. F. Bennett for their No-
vember meeting, With Mrs. Clegg
presiding, the meeting was opened
by all singing "Marching Along
Together. Minutes of previous
meeting were read. Thank you
notes were received from Miss
Frances • Cooper, Mrs. Cann and
the Peskin family.
Reports of various committees
were given. FIower convener re-
ported three shut-ins remembered
during the month. Roll was an-
swered by ten members and four
visitors, by each paying one cent
for each inch of their height
which' brought the total of $7.67.
The mystery box was won by
Mrs. W. Managhan. Mrs, Swine
bank' was responsible for pro-
gram which consisted of readings
and a contest won by Mrs. H.
Plumsteel.
The meeting was closed with
"The King." The next meeting
to be held at the home of Mrs.
Milton Wiltse on December 15.

Farm Forum Meets
S.S. No. 4 Farm Forum met at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hebden
and Mr. and Mrs. H. Howard • on
Monday night. with an attendance
of 18. This was review week,
and following the. broadcast, there
was an interesting, discussion on
"Making Your Will," . this being
a subject which was suggested
on the "sign post" which is sent
to the forums. For recreation
there ivere contests followed by
card games. Lunch was served
by the ladies, The meeting next
Monday night will be at the
home of Mr, and Mrs. Bert Lobb
with Mrs. Lobb and Mrs. Harold
Howard on the recreation com-

The Baptist Ladies' Aid was
held on Thursday afternoon, No-
vember 17, atrthe home of Mrs.
Wilfred Vesterfelt, The business
part of the meeting was conduct-
ed by the president, Mrs. C. A.
Howson. The programme was in
charge of Mrs. Vesterfelt; the
Lord's Prayer was repeated in
unison, led by Mrs. V. Kneeshow,

which were read, this, being the
Scripture reading for the meet-
ing. Readings were given by
Mrs. Stanley Johnston, Mrs. How-
son and Mrs. Thomas McNeil.
Rev. A. Forsyth gave a very
interesting talk on "Missions.”
The meeting was closed with
prayer by Mrs. R. J. Phillips. A.
hot pot -luck supper was served,
and a social time enjoyed.
