Tied- . 7 Third Game Saturday .Clinton Colts, Huron -Perth Baseball League standard-bearers are now all even, at one', game each, with Durham, W 0 AA champions, in their second -round OBA Intermediate "C" baseball series. The third and deciding match will be played at Listowel this Saturday afternoon at,three o'clock. It'e do-or-die for ughie Hawkins' boys! After eliminating Hensel' in two straight for the Huron - Perth League's Venus Trophy, Colts defeated Durham here Thursday last by '6-4. However, at Durham on Sat- urday afternoon, they came a cropper and dropped the match 11-10 after amassing a 9-1 lead midway through the sixth. Clinton 8—Durham 4 Colts 'had the first game at home well inhandthroughout, taking • a 7-2 . margin: at the end of the second and keeping four of the leadto the end. Bob Draper pitched the entire (show and kept the Durham hits well scattered. Capel, the Owen Sound lad playing for Durham, relieved Long in the second with none out and retired the side. Palmerston 10-9 in Palmerston Wednesday That, and thus won the WOAA Junior Girls' Softball Championship. Legionettes' "previously h a d trimmed Palmerston 16-9 at Clinton, and thus won the series in two straight. They played 12 games without,, a loss' this season.
