Successful ,Sale The annual rummage sale under the auspices of the Pioneer Park Association was held in the Town Hall on Friday'evening. The suc- cess of the affair was due to the convener, Miss C. P. Rankin, who organized it so splendidly and both local residents and summer vsiitors who helped in various ways. A tidy sum of money was rais- ed which will be applied to a fund for park improvement and the prevention of erosion at the property. The directors regret that the signs posted both last summer and this spring re. parking, well back from the edge, have been disregarded and the signs remov- ed. This property has been pre- served' for the benefit of the public and it was expected that drivers of cars would co-operate by keeping back 35 feet from the edge, thus eliminating the weight which tends to push the bank down, especially where it is un- dermined, and also the danger of accident to the cars. Mr., Mrs. and Miss Public, won't you co-operate and keep the park dean. Treat it as you would your own front lawn! 50 YEARS A BLACKSMITH SEAFORTH — A well-known Seaforth resident, Ernest Geddes, has started the 51st year at his trade of blacksmith.
