One of the loveliest weddings
of the season took place in
Brucefield United Church, Satur-
day afternoon at 5 p.m. in a lov-
ely setting of summer flowers
and candlelight when Rev. E. R.

• Pursuant to a resolution adoped by Clinton
Town Council,
• I hereby call a public meeting of all citizens
and organizations of Clinton and district to be
held in the
Town Hall, Clinton
on
Fri., July 15
at 8 p.m.
for the purpose of deciding on the matter of
holding an Old Home Week in 1950, and, if
agreeable, to discuss the setting aside of a period
for that purpose.

marriage to William Spencer Jef-
fery, only son of Mr. and Mrs.
Archie Jeffery, Staffs, The cere-
mony was performed by Rev. R.
A. Brook, Henson, before a back-
ground of lovely summer flowers.
Miss Joan Kennedy, , Kitchener,
cousin of the bride, played the
wedding music and accompanied
the soloist, Mrs. James Bonthron,
Hensall, who sang "Because" be-
fore the ceremony and "I Love
You Truly" during the signing of

ies. The happy couple left mid
showers of confetti for a honey-
moon in the Muskoka district, On
their return they will reside in
Exeter.
Guests were present from Wind-
sor, Goderich, Detroit, and Bay-
field.

ing shoulder -length veil, of em-
broidered illusion fell from a gold
beaded tiara and she carried an
arm bouquet of Talisman roses.

An attractive wedding took
place in the United Church Par-
sonage, Dungannon, at 2 Pm.,Monday, July 11, when Ruth
Elizabeth, daughter of Mrs. Niv-
ins and the 'late William Nivins,
West Wawansoh, was united in
marriage to William Charles
Donald Pickard, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Elwin Pickard, Dundas.
Rev. 3, Bright performed the
ceremony.
The bride wore a lovely dress
of blue crepe in street length,
with white headdress and short
veil, corsage of orchid, three -
strand pearl necklace, and white
accessories.
The bridesmaid, Miss Lois
Nivins, the bride's sister, wore a
street -length dress of pink faille
with matching veil and head-
dress, and corsage of red roses.
The groomsman was Roy Pick-
ard, Clinton, brother of the groom.

Pastel summer flowers formed
an attractive setting on Saturday
afternoon, July 2, 1949, in St.
Paul's Cathedral, London, for the
wedding of Margaret Ellen Hard-
ing and Rev. George Murray
Wyatt, Blyth, former assistant to
Canon F. Gwynne Lightbourn,
rector of St. James Church, Strat-
ford. Dean R. C. Brown assisted
by Canon Lightbourn, performed
the ceremony uniting in marriage
the daughter of Mrs. P. N. Hard-
ing, Grosvenor St., London, and
the late Dean Harding, to the son
of Mrs. Wyatt, London, and the
late James Wyatt.
The bride, entering the church
with her uncle. S., Wilfred Hard-
ing, Windsor, looked lovely In a
gown of white satin and Belgian
lace. Her long, fitted sleeves of
satin were crowned with lace
puffs and lace panels extended
from neckline to hem at both
back and front of her gown. Lace
encircled her long train and a
coronet of pearl floral clusters
held in place the long veil of
embroidered French illusion. She
carried a hand bouquet of Talis-
man roses.
Attending the bride as matron
of honor, Mrs. Philip Harding,
Parkhill, wore a gown of pink
chiffon with picture hat of rain-
bow mohair shading from pink to
blue,
Miss Isabel Douglas was brides-
maid in lime green chiffon with
rainbow mohair picture het in
shades of green and yellow. Both
attendants carried pastel fans of
sweet peas and rosebuds.
Dr. Robert 'Tinning, Windsor,
was best man end the ushers were
