WA Meets
The WA held its Stine meeting
on Thursday, June 16, at the'home
of Mrs. Bert Shobbrook with the
president, Mrs. Robert, Fairser:-
vice, in the chair.' The Making
opened With hymn 34 and prayer
by*;lylrs. , Feirservice followed by
the Lord's Prayer in unison.: The
scripture lesson was psalm '705,
read alternately., The minutes of
the last meeting were read.
Letters of appreciation were
received from Miss Alice Fingland,
Murdie Young, Mrs. Stewart
Ament and' Mr. end Mrs. Leon-
ard Shobbrook: The roll call was
answered with a proverb with 40
present.

meeting be cancelled" and Mrs.
Robert Fairservice offered her
home for the,August meeting. The
offering-ives then taken and hymn
27 was sung. A contest was then
conducted by Mrs. Govier and
Mrs. Watson. The meeting clos-
ed with hymn and benediction,
after which the travelling basket
was disposed of. The hostess then
served lunch.

field United Church 'WA was held
in the church auditorium on Tdes,
day, June 7, with a good attend- ,
once as it was visitors' day. The
ladies of Varna United WA were.
guests.
The president, Miss Bowey, was
in charge of the meeting which
opened" 'by singing hymn 425.
Airs, R. Allan read the scripture,
followed by a solo by Mrs. Hend-
erson accompanied by Mrs. W,
McBaeath. Mrs. Henry read the
topic,, "The Kingdom of God." A
solo was rendered by Mrs. Stan-
way, accompanied by Mrs. A.
Johnston. Hymn 249 was sung;
Mrs. Henry led in prayer. Min-
utes of previous meeting were
read by Mrs. Wilson. Roll call
Was answered by "your favorite
hymn."
Mrs. W. McBeath gave treasur-
er's report, followed by a reading
by Mrs. A. McBeath, "The Min-
ister's Wife"; trio by Mrs. Hend-
erson, Mrs. Williams, and Mrs.
Stanway; reading by Mrs. Taylor
of Varna, "The Purple Hat"; an
organ duett by Mrs. A. Johnsotn
end Mrs. W. McBeath; reading by
Mrs. Ross Chapman, "Katie's
Husband"; a duett by Miss Hem
and Miss Johnston, Varna; instru-
mental duett by Miss E. Stack-
house and Mrs. W. McBeath.
The meeting closed by repeat-
ing the prayer of the, WA; after
which the ladies went to the
Sunday School room where Mrs.
F. Boyce, Mrs. A. Johnston and
Miss E. Stackhouse gave en in-
strumental trio and the ladles
served a delicoius lunch.
