Purvis, Maidstone, spent some time last. week at their Lane O'Pines Beach summer home. 'at Lane O'Pines Beach. Mr. and Mrs, Cecil Merkley,,, Wingham, were at their home at Lanz O'Pines Beach on Sunday. Mn and Mrs, Phil Heitbohmer end Neva, Stratford, spent the weekend at Cedar Hollow, their Lane O'•Pines Beach summer home. Mr. and Mrs. George Woods, Miss Beverly Woods and Royal Cooley, Detroit, were at their cottage at Lane O'Pines Beach for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bowers, Miss Caroline and Miss Molly Laren, Detroit, spent the Mem- oriel weekend at Lane O'Pines Beach. They had as their guests their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Feeney, Charles Goodell, Mr. Speck and Mrs. Morday. Services in Morning Commencing Sunday, June 5, end continuing throughout the summer months, the service in St. James Church, Middleton, will be held at 9.30 a.m., (DST). CONSTANCE Frank Riley hes treated himself to a garden -tiller tractor. Mr. and Mrs, Tom Riley, Clint- on, visited on Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Riley. Mrs. William Carter, who spent the winter months with friends in Lucknow, returned to her home recently. Returns from Hospital Pete Lindsayreturned home from Scott Memorial hospital Seaforth recently. We are pleased to learn he is much improved in health. Confined to Bed We are sorry to learn, Mrs. Joe Riley is confined to her bed and er the Doctors care. We hope Mrs. Riley will soon be able td be about her duties. HURON ROAD Happy Workers Club "The May meeting of the Hap- py Workers' Club was held at the home of Mrs, Cliff Glazier. There was no meeting as a number of the ladies attended the opening of the new wing at the hospital. It was decided of donate $15 to the hospital. There were 14 mem- bers and seven visitors present. The lucky ticket was won by Mrs, Elgin Dale. The next meet- ing is to be held at the home of Mrs. Fred Pepper. During the afternoon a quilt was quilted, After the ladies came from the hospital a dainty lunch was serv- ed by group 1, which are: Mrs. George Glazier, Mrs. Hugh Ball, Mrs. Charles Brandon and Mrs. Cliff Glazier, LONDESBORO • J. Knox visited with Mr. and Mrs. William Knox. Mrs. Beacom and Edith called on friends at Kirton Sunday. E, J. Crawford spent Saturday at the home of his nephew, Ken Roberton, Aylmer. Mr, end Mrs. Roy Peter, Kin- cardine, spent Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Sidney Lansing. Miss Mina Hunter is on an ex- tended visit with her niece, Mrs. S, Lansing, and Mr. Lansing. Crawford were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Crawford and Sandra, Lon- don; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Prest and Teb, Londesboro; and Mr, and Mrs. James Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Lansing attended Convocation held at Ont- ario Agricultural College, Guelph when Mrs. Lansing's nephew, Allison Gardhouse, Owen Sound, graduated, receiving his B.S.A. degree.
