Hold Flower Sunday
Wesley -Willis Church
Flower Sunday was observed
in Wesley -Willis United Church
on Sunday last, May 29. The
church was very attractive with
a profusion of spring flowers and
a number of birds sang sweetly
at various times throughout the
service. The service was in cha-
rge of John W. Nediger, superin-
tendent of the Sunday School,
with Mrs. M. J. Agnew presiding
at the organ.
The choir was made up of child-
ren from the Sunday School who
sang two number,, "God who
made the Daisies," and "If I come
to Jesus". Four girls— Gail Shear-
ing, Agnes Lane, Gwennyth Griff-
iths and Betty Lou Nediger—sang
a lovely quartette, "Fairest Lord
Jesus".
The primary children under
the direction of their superinten-
dent, Mrs. W. M. Nediger, sat in
the front pews of the church and
delighted the congregation with
the singing of several selections.
Mr. Nediger was assisted in the
service by Donald Ross who read
a prayer; Wooden Epps, who
read the Scripture lesson; and by
the minister, Rev. Andrew Lane,
who gave a sermon very appro-
priate to the occasion.
