and London Synodical WMS of
the Presbyterian Church at, the,
-closing session ' of the three-day'
meeting held in Knox Presby-
terian Church, Goderich, Thurs-
day last. Mrs, Munro presided
throughout the convention which.
has featured reports of increases
in membership and in givings.
Mrs. A. W. Pae, president of
the WMS, in reviewing reports,
praised the past year's work as
''heartening and thrilling," She
announced that the 85th anniver-
sary of the' WMS is to be cele-
brated this year in Calgary.
Mrs, Albert Taylor, Goderich,
told of leadership given by
CGIT girls in the junior con-
gregation and in Sunday School,
The invitation extended by.
Paris presbytery to hold the
next annual meeting in Central
Church, Brantford, was accepted.
Mrs. D. J. Lane, Clinton, con-
ducted meditations at the morn-
ing's session.

Presbytery Greetings
Greetings from Presbytery were
brought by Rev, .Alex. Nimmo,
of Wingham, on Tuesday even-
ing, and Rev. R. G. MacMillan,
Goderich, delivered an address
on "Family Worship." Depart-
ment reports on home helpers,
historians, literature, library and.
deputation were heard.
On Wednesday morning, Mrs.
Gordon Bisset, president of Huron
Presbyterial, welcomed the dele-
gates, and Mrs. C. N. John-
ston, Toronto, brought greet-
ings from the Council executive,
and gave a good address on
"Stock -taking and Forward Plan-
ning," ,Presbyterial reports from
Bruce and Owen Sound, Chat-
ham, Huron and London. were
given.
Highlighting the Wednesday
afternoon and evening meetings
were addresses by Mrs. D. S.
Pitts, former matron of Cecilia
Jeffrey Indian School, and Miss
Laura K. Pelton, of the Church
executive; Presbyterial reports
from Hamilton, Stnatferd, Paris,
Sarnia, and Maitland. Mrs. E.
Leckie and Mrs, Robert Mow-
bray, discussed finances.

In Easter Cantata
The NEWS -RECORD is in re-
ceipt of a lecent issue of The
Romeo Observer Press, Romeo,
Mich, In this issue there is a
picture of the choir of First
Methodist Church. This choir
sang the Easter Centata "The
Cross of Redemption,” on Easter
Sunday morning, and the music
was greatly enjoyed.
Mrs. Bettie Haber, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas
Mason, Clinton, is a member of
the choir and she was in her
place when the picture was taken.

at her home and broke her leg.
Mrs. Roy Dungey also head the
misfortune to fall while taking
the water hose from the reel in
the back yard of her home and
brokes the bones in her ankle.
Both are in . Scott Memorial
Hospital.

tario Area, inspected 'the corps.
