Clinton Colts Intermediate base-
ball club held an organization
meeting for 1949 in the Town
Hall Board Room, Tuesday even-
ing, April 5. Most of last sea-
son's players were present.
John Livermore, 19421 president,
was elected chairman for the
meeting. Last year's offieers, es
well as a few new names were
suggested for officers for 1949.
Another meeting was planned for
Wednesday, April 13, when o£ -
ricers and management will be
officially . nominated. In the
meantime all 'suggested persons
are being contacted.
Hugh R. Hawkins, manager of
the 1948 Intermediate "C" final-
ists, definitely said he could not
take over the managership this
Season. Four prospects are be-
ing contacted for thisall-import-
ant task.
Londesboro Plans
Softball Team

Londesboro Athletic Club held
a' meeting in the club rooms on
Monday night and decided to
enter in the WOAA Intermediate
"C" grouping this season; also a
midget team in the midget
grouping.
The following '' officers were
elected for the season: Team
manager, Jack Tamblyn; coach,
to be appointed by the manager;
business manager; Jack Lee;
equipment man, Hugh` Millar;
grounds committee, Hank Bloor
and John. Peckitt; score, keeper,
John Peckitt; gate man, Jack
Webster; manager of the Midgets,
Dick Bloor.

The annual meeting of Clinton
Men's Lawn .Bowling Club was
held in the Board Room of the
Town Hall, Wednesday, March
30, with 16 members present.
The president, 3. A. Sutter, was
in the chair.
Officers re-elected were: Presi-
dent, J. A. Sutter; vice-president,
P. Livermore; secretary -treasurer,
J. G. McLay.

pointed a committee to arrange
for •a canvas for new members.
Annual fees were set. at. $8 for
regular members, $5 for new
members, and $2 for associate
members.

Power Roller Needed
The property committee were
instructed to look into the pos-
sibility of purchasing a power
roller. This roller is necessary
owing to the acquisition of new
greens which likely will be fit
for play late in the summer.

W. Nott, it is hoped to have the
new greens satisfactorily fenced
this year.
By motion, the best wishes sof
the Club was extended • to the
Ladies' Club and a continuance
of their enthusiastic support was
