(By Howard Cowles)
Wingham Bantams cleaned up
the WOAA Bantam hockey home -
and -home series with Clinton
Lions Bantams Monday evening
in Clinton Lions Arena.
The first game was played in
Wingham with a tied' score of
3-3 Saturday. The game here
Monady evening was a good clean
game with the Wingham team
coming out on top by a score
of 3-2. With total goals to count
they topped the Lions team by
6-5.
Bob Carrick, Jr. showed up
well for the Clinton team, scor-
ing one of Clinton's goals, play-
ing a good defensive geme, which
held the Wingham boys in check
more than once.
Gerrie for Wingham, played a
good game, getting one of the
three goals, and over -taking and
stopping more than one of Clin-
ton's
breakaways
The ice was soft which didn't
help the lads to play any better
hockey. Bill Counter has been
in charge of the Bantams' and he
has done a lot for the boys and
deserves credit for what he has
done.
