Clinton Public Hospital, Mr. and Mrs. Victor States - Charlie Hutchins Trinity; Guild Meets The regular meeting of Trinity Church Guild was held on. Thurs- day of last week at the home 011 Mrs. R. T. Larson. Plans were made for the Valentine social in the Town Hall on. February 14. The rector, Rev, L. Morgan, d os - ed the meeting with ' prayer. Lunch was then served by the hostess. Joint Meeting Hele A largely attended joint meet- ing of the VMS and WA of St.) Andrew's United Church was held , on Thursday of last week at the home of Mrs, Malcom Toms. The presidents' of the two societies, Mrs. Cohn Campbell for the WNIS and Mrs. Lloyd Makins for the WA were in charge each of her own meeting. The reedings, hymn's and the topic for the WMS were on the church, Mrs. Fred Watson read a chapter from the Study Book dealing with the educational work IT of their missions in China. The WA decided to hold its ,D annual St. Patrick's social and 'e o plans were made for a program, The committee reported having purchased a new carpet for the church and a sample was on ex- hibition. Twenty.•aprons were donated to be sold at the summer bazaar and other work was planned, The meeting then closed after which lunch was served. ----•o�,�., Goderich Township: S.S. 4 Farm Forum The S,S, No. 4 Farm Forum met this week at the home. Mr.; and Mrs. ;Irvine Tebbutt wi an attendance of 13 members. The topic on the radio wa "Food in Sales Clothing,” a r is - mission on advertising and m. cheedising food products. Du ing the discussion. it was deci ed thet advertising of food pro- ducts is in the best interests of both producer and consumer. I also was decided that the producer takes about 40 per cent respon- sibliity and the processors and retailer 60 per cent responsibility for. the merchandising of farm products. Following the discussion, led by Irvine., Tebbutt, recreation consisted of a "Treasure Trail"' Quizz, led by Miss Verna Miller, end a good selection of riddles given 'by Jack Tebbutt, after which cards 'and crokidole were played, The ladies served lunch. The meeting next week will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Bert Lobb with Mrs. Bert Lobb and Robin Thompson in ch'ar'ge of .recreation. TPU Meets The YPU held their regular meeting at the home of Lewis ebbutt on Tuesday night. With ouglas Jones in charge; the meeting opened with a hymn, ]lowed by the Scripture and prayer by Lois Jones. Following the second hymn the topic was given by Grace Lobb. The min- utes of the previous meeting were read by Jack Tebbutt. During the business discussion it wos decided to have a tobogganning and skiing party on Wednesday night, February 9, weather per- mitting. Following a hymn the meeting was closed by repeating Mizpah Benediction, WA Meets The February meeting of the WA was held at the home of re. Mervin Lobb on Thursday of st week.
