Farm Disasters
Twenty-six forums reported
after the Farm Forum meeting
of January 3, in our County. By
and large, Ontario farmers •find
themselves in a rather fortunate
position regarding major non-
preventable disasters" Most Hur-
on County farmers are engaged
in mixed farming and disaster
effecting one specific line does
not necessarily mean economic
ruin. At one time or another
certain sections have been visited
by wind, hail or flood, the first
usually being covered by insur-
ance. Damage by flood, hall or
frost and drought is usually met
by the farmer to the best of his
individual ability.
hour.
Gaal -getters for Grade 6 were:
Bob Geron, Doug Fleischauer (2),
Don Ross and Bill .Carrick, while
for the other team the lucky boys
were' Jack Holmes, Murray Tay-
lor and Ken McLeod. :
The previous day Grade 5 had
defeated Grade 5 by the score
of 7-1.
