office of School Trustee for the years 1949-50 will

Ladies' Club to Meet
Tuckersmith Ladies' Club will
hold its January meeting at the
home of Mrs. Eldon O'Brien ;on
Wednesday, January 5, 1949. Roll
call is to be answered with some-
thing I would like to accomplish
in '1949,
A successful Christmas concert
was held in S.S. 7, Tuckersmith,
the school' being filled to capac-
ity. William Forest was chairman,
pesides recitations, singing and
dialogues by the pupils, the sen-
ior girls assisted with the music.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilson McCartney
gave several violin 'selection”,
Anderson' Scott, accompanied by
Mrs. McGregor, g
sang. Mrs. Wed-
dell conducted the musicalt
of the program and played sev-
eral piano selections.
Honoring Mrl. Ellis, the teach-
er, who hes resigned to accept a
position in Seaforth Public' School,
Susan McCowan read an address,
and Stuart Keyes made the pre-
sentation of a silver tea service.
Mrs: Ellis has been teacher at
the school for the past two years.

in the Town Hall. 'Director was
